Ways in which being the mom of an infant is like being in high school:
1) You wake up at 6am every day.
2) Getting to watch cool shows on cable is rare and amazing.
3) You go on dates. These involve dinner. And probably the movies. These dates are a big deal.
4) If you hook up with the boy who took you on the date -- in any way -- he will be super-grateful.
5) You really care what the other girls are doing, because probably they are doing it right and you are doing it wrong.
6) You make fun of the accessories the other girls have to hide the fact that you secretly think their accessories are really pretty.
7) Other people keep telling you this is the best time of your life.
8) You never believe them.
9) They're probably right.
